The de Broglie wave is the same one defined by Prince Louis de Broglie in 1924 I think. He thought of it as a matter wave, but further research by Max Born and others show that it is a possibility / probability wave. See http://users.aol.com/thales97/physic21.htm

In the Standard Model, this wave (which has a wave velocity of C**2/ v, where v = velocity of associated object) is generally regarded as nothing but a stepping stone to Schroedinger's equation, which Schroedinger reached by plugging de Broglie's formula for the wavelength of his wave -- into the standard partial differential equation for a wave. P = h/L, where P = momentum of the associated object, h = Planck's constant (6.6*10**(-27)) erg-sec. Schroedinger further put severe boundary conditions on the partial differential equation, namely that it should tend towards zero as we move away from the center of action, and that the total volume incorporated should equal one, thus making it a probability wave. The trouble with Schroedinger's wave-packet is that it disperses with time, but quanta do not. So his equation is also regarded as something of a mathematical fiction.

My thesis is just that the de Broglie wave is no fiction, and that one can (1) eliminate the wave-particle paradox in physics and (2) explain the mind-body interaction in psychical research -- with his wave.

You may be right. At least by my analysis, the de Broglie wave for photons becomes a complex numbered scalar version of the classical electro-magnetic wave. All the wave-like behavior of a photon is due to positive and negative interference of this de Broglie wave, which for a photon has velocity = C. So what is a photon? Something hard to visualize. It is a quantum state of the electro-magnetic field.
